Bosnian Journal of Basic Medical Sciences

The Association of Basic Medical Sciences of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was established 4th of April 1996. with the support from WUS (World University Service).

Considering the fact that all professional associations have ceased to work in the UN-recognized state of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from 1992 to the Dayton Agreement in 1996, a multidisciplinary team of scientists, met to jointly create and implement research projects in the areas of basic medical sciences. A team was composed of physicians, chemists, physicists, biologists, engineers and other experts from various fields who had a vision to reestablish research activities and catch up with the time lost during the four year period of massive destruction of all cultural, moral, ethical, scientific and material values.

The association of Basic Medical Sciences of Bosnia and Herzegovina was legally established in 1996 and has been publishing Bosnian Journal of Basic Medical Sciences since 1998.
