An increase in Impact Factor expected

2020-01-26

We are pleased to announce that, based on calculations, an estimated Journal Impact Factor (2019) for BJBMS is higher than 2.0, making a more than a 20% increase from 2018.

The Journal Impact Factor, as published yearly starting from 1975 in the Journal Citation Reports, measures the frequency with which the average article in a journal has been cited in a particular year by the research community through the delivery of a publisher-independent data, metrics, and analysis of the world’s most important journals included in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), part of the Web of Science Core Collection.
